Napa, wineries and more wineries

Countdown to Monterey is getting closer. But today was Napa to the extreme!
We began the day at the famous Spottswoode Winery after a great breakfast at Meadowood.
After going through the storage barn we went with Shannon to the original Spottswoode estate where Murphy the black labrador frolicked among the tasters. The vino was just spectacular!
After Spotswoode it was lunch at Reverie where Norm showed us around where Andrew Stuart Kiken or AS KIKEN wine is grown. There was a couple who announced their engagement while we ate a picnic lunch and drank more vino. Then on to Von Strasser before heading to Terra Valentine and then to the other Eisele winery among the rolling hills of Napa. The federal DEA was looking for a fugitive Mexican drug grower when we turned the bend approaching the Eisele estate. We really enjoyed all of the wineries but especially enjoyed visiting with the owners at both Reverie and Volker Eisele.
